How to Find Your Place in the Universe (2014)
A personal piece for my final project at CalArts. Finding Your Place in the Universe is an exploration of my past and my future as it ventures through the different homes I have lived in and the different personas I have taken for the past 24 years.
The final project includes a suitcase, three blueprint models of different houses, a 36 x 36” poster that shows the overview of my journey, and three paper dolls of myself from past to present.

My process first involved research and making prototype maps to plot down points, landmarks, and important events.
Through various methods of exploration, I was led to create a time-traveling suitcase in which my younger self can re-visit her past so that she may see her future.
